Still Being Framed

June 9, 2009...Framing continues. Crew has installed posts (not visible in this photo) to support 2nd floor, floor joists (the boards running horizontally in this photo.) Ray is living dangerously once again...acting like he's done this a time or two before:

Hubby took this photo to show the huge beam that runs through the garage. It is actually 2, 4" thick engineered beams laminated together...and, boy, is it heavy! The 2-man crew had some help to get it up there.

Looking through the boys' window opening...2, 36"x60" windows will eventually fill this space:

The lumber is laid out and ready to grab as needed:
